What can you do to protect yourselves?
Install Anti-virus software, keep it updated, and scan your computer regularly. Recent advisories from security agencies recommend scanning you PC in Windows Safe Mode. (Press F8 while rebooting your PC to enter Safe Mode, and then scan your PC).
Regularly download and install the latest updates to your operating system (e.g. Windows) and browser.
Check that the SSL certificate (by clicking on the pad lock icon in you browser) has valid dates and is issued to s2b.standardchartered.com.
Increase the number of ‘Approvers/ Checkers’ required to authorise a payment before sending it to the bank.
